FORT MYERS, FL - (July 13, 2021) - United Mechanical, LLC (UM), received a call from Chris Hansen, CEO and Director of Child Care of Southwest Florida (CCSWFL), who was in need of volunteers to clean-up one of their organization’s existing playgrounds and construct new playground equipment. In just two short weeks, a team was assembled consisting of a variety of UM Team Members and their families.
The group met at the P.A. Geraci Child Development Center at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning and completed the work around 2:30 in the afternoon. They cleaned up the natural vegetation, raked, and built the playground equipment. UM was joined by a team from Scotlynn USA Division to build a fort with two slides, three swings, and other fun accessories. Another swing set frame was built along with chin-up bars and balance beams. The playground was specifically designed for the center’s 3rd grade class so they can safely play with children in their age group.
